Couples & Kids/Best Bet Series - May 14, 2011
Final Tournment of the Season
We want to thank the 23 Allstar Couples & Kids and Best Bet Aluminum Boat teams that came out for the last tournament of the season. Fishing was tough and the total weights small. Shawn & Lisa Carnahan took first place in the Couples & Kids division with 9.51#, which paid $500. Todd Graffa and Joe King brought in 9.33# and took 1st place in the Best Bet Division, which paid $655 including the big bass of 2.69#.
Congratulations to Jason & Jo Schmitt for winning Angler of the Year in the Couples & Kids Division. They received bonus prize money, $1,300, a pair of Powell Rods and free basic entry certificates for next season. Vic & Debbie Cunninghman came in second overall and earned a $780 bonus. Coming in third overall was Buzz and Marnie Harris, who received $520 as a bonus.
Ken Howden and Gary Understiller are to be congratulated for becoming the Best Bet Anglers of the Year. They received and bonus of $600 and special trophies. Kevin Buffalin and Jay Sheer received a bonus of $400 for coming in second on the year to date standing.
Thank you to Complete Marine for their sponsorship of the trophies this year. We also thank Bobby and Glenda O’Donnell for the terrific job they did this season. The potlucks and Friday night parties were so much fun and enjoyed by all.
We are already working on new ideas for next season to make it better than ever. We will keep you posted as time goes by and things are finalized.
