Best Bet / Couples & Kids - October 1, 2011
Best Bet Aluminum Boat Tournaments had its first tournament of the season on 10-1-11 at Roosevelt Lake. It was good day on the water after a cold front was in the forecast. Steven Glover and Ricky Alvarado took first place with 8.86 lbs with a big fish of 2.44 lbs.
Kevin Buffalin and Jason Sleer took second with 7.09 lbs.
Forrest Miller and James Cross took third with 6.38 lbs.
Congratulations to these anglers! The 50/50 raffle was a big success. Thanks to all who participated.
We had a great showing of kids at the first Allstar Couples & Kids tournament this season. There were 8 teams that included kids and they all had a good day on the water. Bobby O’Donnell, fishing by himself, won the tournament with 10.45 lbs, bringing home $1,340. Second place went the father and son team of Jason & Bailey Willour, with 10.31 lbs, they also had the big bass of the tournament 3.29 lbs and earned $630. Husband and wife team Rod & Vicky Nelson took third place with 10.12 lbs, and earned $365. See you all at the next tournament on November 12th at Roosevelt Lake – Windy Hill launch ramp.
