Couples & Kids - October 16, 2010

Bobby and Glenda O'Donnell had a really great turn out for Allstar Couples and Kids, it was fun to see the kids bringing fish to the scales to weigh in. Jason and Jo Schmitt took first place with 11.01#s, and earning $1235. Chris Perkes and his son Dalton took second place with 10.47#s, $1,475. Tom Wennerlund rounded out the top three with 8.55#s, $425.

We also thank our hard working staff Jerry Kirkpatrick, Cody Nugent and Michael Nugent—these boys worked really hard to keep the fish alive. Thank you anglers for taking care of your fish before they hit the scales, keepin'em alive is a high priority of Allstar Bass Fishing Tournaments.

We would like to remind you that this season will have a goon fish 50/50 option, so be prepared to bring in a catfish, a walleye or something other than a bass. Secondly, he will have a "Last Place Certificate" which will pay the basic entry for the team that finishes last into the next tournament. (No, you cannot roll it over; it must be used at the very next tournament.) If there is a tie for last place, then the winner of the certificate will be determined by drawing, AND you must be present to win.

The first Friday night potluck was a huge success - there were over 50 anglers and guests socializing and sharing a meal. Glenda and her family went all out on the main course—serving pork spare ribs. Next month at Apache the theme will be "Thanksgiving". There will be several turkeys and at least one ham served along with all the sides. If you have not done so already, contact Glenda and let her know what you would like to contribute.
